Light Bodied Dry Wines

Wine Glass

A light bodied wine feels thin (water not syrup).

A light body can be created in three ways:

To create a bone dry wine, a winemaker will usually convert all sugar in the grape into alcohol. Dry wines are best produced using low sugar grapes like grapes from cold areas or early harvested grapes.

Dry wines without sugar might taste sweet due to low acidity. They may also be oaked and infused with sweet aromas such as vanilla, chocolate, and licorice.
